On 11 March 2026, ESCCAP Spain announced its new parasite control tables. This kind of professional material helps you look up products in an organised way. The choice for a particular pet should follow a veterinary assessment, not a comparison based on price alone.
What a professional source is for
The publication lets you find the information and its version. When checking a product, it is important to confirm the exact product, species and format. A table does not make all the products listed interchangeable, nor does it automatically set the regimen for each animal.
What to bring to the appointment
Note the species, current weight, travel plans and products already in use. Keep the boxes or clear photos of the labels. Raise questions about compatibility or application before switching products; avoiding mix-ups is more useful than memorising brand names.
How to buy once the product is confirmed
Check the full name and format when selecting a variant. Read the leaflet and precautions on the pack you receive. Blog articles help you find information, but they do not give doses or replace a professional's recommendation.
A common question
Can I use the tables to choose a treatment myself?
Use them as a reference alongside your vet's advice and the product documentation.
For information only. Assessment, diagnosis and any treatment plan are the responsibility of your vet.

Once your vet has recommended a product, you can find it in our flea and tick treatment for dogs or flea and tick treatment for cats. Check the species and weight range on the product page.
